Fairtrade fortnight - The Green joins in the big swap campaign.

22nd February 2010

Fairtrade Fortnight 2010The Big Swap is a fab campaign set up by The Fairtrade Foundation. For two whole weeks they're asking you to swap your usual stuff for Fairtrade stuff. Your usual bananas for Fairtrade bananas, your usual cotton socks for Fairtrade cotton socks, and your usual cuppa for a Fairtrade cuppa. Whenever you pop to the shops, you can use your wallet to make a stand.

We stock a fantastic range of fairtrade goodies at The Green including coffee & tea, sugar, brazil nut oil

Clipper Teas

Clipper has always been a different kind of tea company... It was started in 1984 by Mike and Lorraine Brehme with just two chests of Assam tea from a single tea estate. Teas of such quality weren’t widely available at that time and proved to be a huge success.

The company hit its stride when it became involved with the Fairtrade Foundation. Clipper eventually launched the very first Fairtrade tea in 1994, but this was an ethical business from the start.
